Whenever I read articles of this sort, I always wonder, "What took first place?" Does anyone know when the worst trade deficit was.

This isn't me US-bashing for all you paranoids out there (I know Skeptic isn't posting at the moment, but you can't be too careful). I wouldn't even know if a trade deficit matters a damn to a country's economy or not.
