What I cant understand is why the democratically elected governments of the UK and Ireland dont get together and sort the whole thing out between each other rather than pandering to a bunch of violent terrorist/paramilitaries?

Maybe because sometimes this kind of terrorism is convenient to governments.

With bombs exploding in big cities, none really cares about economical crisis , or unemployment, for example...

Just a "nasty" thought...

Well, successive democratically elected Irish governments had snuffed the IRA out (the British government played it's part by lending them the services of hangman Albert Pierrepoint). It took 50 years of Unionist dumbass rule in Northern Ireland, aided and abbeted by the acquiesence of successive British governments (including those led by bleeding heart icons such as Clement Atlee) to bring matters to a head in the late '60's and kickstaart the IRA again.

Sadly we don't have those kind of politicians in Ireland anymore, the present collection being little more than caretakers for the Brussels mafia.

And a false one. Throughout the IRA's reign of terror people in Britain did care about miner's strikes, privitisatiopn etc. Otherwise Maggie Thatcher wouldn't arouse the feelings she continues to do.

Guess who's been to the forefront of the anti-war movement in Ireland? Go on, be as wacky and outlandish as possible!
