DNC supported NAACP payrolls voter fraud in Ohio (http://www.nypost.com/news/nationalnews/30711.htm)

Republicans are demanding closer scrutiny of new voter registration forms turned in by the NAACP after a thug who was given crack cocaine to find new voters for the group tried to add Mary Poppins and Dick Tracy to the rolls.

I basically started this thread because of some of the threads I have seen started about voter fraud in favor of republicans. I am basically trying to "balance" the forum at this point. Also, if a group gets money from the RNC and one of its members acts corruptly, our posters make sure to mention the RNC "backing" in their post so I am following the template.

There are many desperate people in this election committing voter fraud. I don't think you are that much better than them for making broad innuendos about the DNC/RNC and I wish people on this forum would stop.

Aslo, if I hear one more time about "ARMED" cops intimidating elderly black people I swear I will track the poster down and beat them down with olive loaf the way Opus did that mime.

Who writes the copy for this paper, it's hilarious. Like reading a pulp fiction crime novel.

In a bizarre story unfolding in northern Ohio, a crack-hoarding lowlife was busted for passing off the fictitious voter registrations.

The flap bubbled just days after the NAACP — which represents a largely Democratic constituency, but claims its registration drive is non-partisan — boasted of signing up 225,000 new voters this year.

Ohio police nabbed Chad Staton, 22, on a felony charge of submitting phony voter registration forms.

Police raided the Toledo home of the woman who hired Staton, uncovering voter registration forms and illicit drug paraphernalia. They scored a confession of the crack-for-voters payment plan from the woman, who also told cops she was working for the NAACP Ohio chapter's National Voter Fund drive.

WTF does 'flap bubbled' mean. And isn't 'score' a term drug takers use for buying drugs?

I don't really let these registration snafus concern me overly much. People are being paid to bring in registrations so they have an incentive to fake em.

But that really only means that a bunch of fake registrations are floating around. It does not mean people are voting on them. Think about it, the people in charge would have to know which ones were fake to be able to fraudulently vote them. Further, what about the time it takes to vote? I think yu would be pretty obvious in after having voted once you turn around and vote agaian and again. Sorry, I just don't see it happening. And who is going to take the time to drive around to different precincts to vote? At best, you could spend 8 hours and maybe get in 30 votes. Hardly seems worth it.

So as far as I am concerned, I don't care about bad registrations. I *do* care about people tearing up registrations as that action can disenfranchise many voters quite easily. Or making it difficult to register.

I think there is some concern in the area of absentee ballots as that could more easily be faked and would not require much time for someone to vote numerous times.

That's all my opinion. If you think fake registrations are a big problem, I think you are making a mountain out of a molehill but feel free to show me how it could be a big problem.
