I have yet to find a Christian who has been willing to even attempt to refute the arguments presented here:
Did Jesus Exist? (http://www.atheists.org/christianity/didjesusexist.html)
Would you care to give it a try?

It's just pathetic rantings of a maltheist.

I'm guessing that's a no? But I also guess you don't read anything but the bible for your historical evidence.

Conclusively refuted. What more proof do you need, Peter?

Dunno But I don find it mildly ammusing that the person who seems to be claiming knowlage of early cristianity and the bible misses a pretty clear reson why they did not write things down. There is very little point in writeing things down if you think the world is going to end quite soon.

Why would you think that millions of Christians who have lived since then, have been inspired by the same God to believe differently?

Either the early followers of Christ had good reason to believe he would be returning soon, or millions who have lived since, have been given a good reason to believe otherwise..

Both cannot be true.. ( unless God sort of whimsically changes his mind )

No wait! He does...

Odd, the case presented in this website is 10X better than the website purporting to prove the existance of Hell, yet you present that website as proof positive of Hell.

How conveniently selective of you.

Because it's a bit hard to claim that the world has in fact ended. Anyway large numbers of christian still belive the world is going to end very soon.

In my experiance people do not need a good reason to belive the world is going to end. It seems to be built into the basic human though process on some level.

Of course it does not make sense to write things down _as history_, but it does make sense if the purpose of the documents in question is to preach.

Not really. After all you know what you are saying since not everyone can read you can spread the message far faster without bothering to waste time writing it down (which is a slow process) and well the world is going to end soon so you have rather a short deadline to convert as many people as posible. If you look at the dates on the gospels it looks like they appeared when people started to relise that the world was not going to end that soon.

And this supports the veracity of the Jesus myth, in what way?

Wasn't claiming was. I just felt that the author of the text needed to do a little more research.
