I hit the polls today. Since I live in an unincorporated part of Tennessee, there were only three votes to make. Two of these were unchallenged republicans running for state and US rep seats.

The third voting choice was President and there was Bush, Kerry, Badnarik, Peroutka, and Nader.

Can you believe? Three republicans running unopposed. *

*(Technically there were people running against bush but three are basically jokes and one is a radical extremist on the North Vietnamese wall of heroes and who supported unilaterally disarming during the cold war. In other words, there was only one serious candidate on the ballot)

It's okay, there are thousands of lawyers standing by to undo everyone's votes.

And if Bush were a robot, I'd count that as a point in his favor. Did you see they have invented a robot that can belch and fart?

Technology is marvelous!

true, fortunately I have no problem with a soldier who fights in a war then questions the justness of that war. But I understand many people, sadly, will consider that person a traitor.

he's born-again now, his life is in Jesus' hands, in fact Jesus helps guide his actions, so we have nothing to worry about.

So, what does it mean when Jesus tries to choke you with a pretzel? A subtle hint to watch your sodium intake?

Hehehe, pardon me for being a troll today but after standing in a line for 2.5 hours to early vote in the heat and occasional rain I deserve it.

just ask 1inChrist...that was Satan disguising himself as a pretzel and Bush renounced his salty, demonic influence.

And those who do not punish the WMD lies, the Link-between-Saddam-and-bin-Laden lies, Abu Ghraib, and so on, beg to have it repeated.

If I had to guess, I would say it was indicative of a Kerry victory. As PJ O'Rourke commented once, people don't stand in line for hours to vote for the status quo.

However, the line looked like Bush Country through and through. Perhaps the close election popular vote numbers are creating increased turnout even in states that are a done deal (TN is pretty much a Bush ringer).

I voted early, left the president part blank, only voted on proposed state amendments.

The key to early voting is getting there early. Dallas county has about 20 or so early voting locations. I commute to my home in Dallas through Richardson and I knew where it's Civic Center was to that's where I went to vote early on Thursday. I got there at 6:50am, walked around until I saw the 5th person show up, was number six in line, voted at 7:02 and was out 2 minutes later.

Who said democracy isn't easy?

I voted on Tuesday. I was at the mall getting my hair done and knew there was an early voting station set up, so I went after my hair was finished. There was a line of about 15 people, with about 30 others using the machines. It was easy and painless. Mostly.

Don't ask me who I voted for. I don't want to talk about it.
