Is this forum a blog, and if so, shouldn't it be listed on blogger websites?

Is this forum a blog, and if so, shouldn't it be listed on blogger websites? I don't think this qualifies as a blog. The Randi comment of the week is almost blog-like, but real bloggers tend to post daily, or even more frequently, and their pieces are usually composed of many links to other sites.

A blog is sort of a cross between a cult of personality and a news site. It's like a radio talk show without all the blather of actual talk. This is a message board that hangs off of a website that really has a completely different purpose. For some reason, a lot of people come here to blather about politics, but the real purpose of the website is skepticism and debunking of paranormal things.

There are a lot of other message board / news sites out there such as kuro5hin (http://www.kuro5hin.org) and plastic (http://www.plastic.com) and slashdot (http://slashdot.org) that still don't qualify as blogs, because the audience controls the content, not the blogger(s). But this site isn't even a news site, it's just a big 'ol newsgroup-type site that has minimal editing (anyone can post a new item immediately) which is balanced by the lack of anonymous access and what looks to be a fairly active moderator community.

Whatever it is, there has been nothing like this in recorded history. Can you imagine a 17th century blog: a big, nail-ridden cork board in the middle of town, with people sneaking furtively up to it to hammer in angry messages to one another?

Glad we have moved on. Can you imagine some of the altercations if certain members of this forum met certain other members of this forum as they were merrily hammering up their angry messages?
Some might even end up as a Diet for Worms:p

Some might even end up as a Diet for Worms:p I think it would be really funny to meet some of these people in person.
