From the website

"Could this be the war that leads to Armageddon?" he asked. "I think a lot of people are considering that very notion. People do have a sense of urgency about things. They wonder what's happening to the world when there are deadly pestilence out there and there are weapons of mass destruction. People are looking for a clear vision of what God is doing."

People would be better off trying to figure out what humanity is doing.
We're an enigma unto ourselves.
If we can't figure us out how do we intend to figure out that which allegedly is able to justify all this?

The ironic thing is that right now, the World is more peaceful than it has been for most of History. Just two small wars and a handfull of civil wars. Of course, there have been lulls, but generally the daily body count has been higher through several centuries.

Billifan,
Since you (and the Millerites) think the rapture is moments away, please send to Randi your life savings and post your collection of nekkid Teal Redman photos. You won't need them.

Hmmm, the Norwich Bulletin. Sounds like a towering bastion of journalism. Much more reliable than any major paper. Yeah, right.

I've worked at local newspapers. The reporters and columnists range from fairly normal and of reasonable intelligence, to people who by comparison make Jerry Falwell look like a raving communist.

This writer is probably some hack who had space to fill between the ads and was too lazy to look for a real story.

For years I've been trying to convince the religious faction of my family that this is true.

Sharp, whose congregation includes two Marines in the Middle East, said his church prays once a week for the current world crisis.

"We can sit in our houses and watch the events on TV or we can participate by praying," he said. "It's not just up to our troops in the Middle East. It's up to us at home to do our duty in prayer."

Because the Iraqis (and most of the Middle East) are praying for our destruction and if we don't beg god harder than they do, god could take their side!

Rest assured that the entire reason for this article was the two lines (emphasis mine):
"I think the fact that Iraq was the land where ancient Babylon was located is significant, considering Babylon is mentioned throughout Revelation and by the prophets of the Old Testament," said Dennis McGee, owner of Cornerstone Bookstore in Groton.andMcGee said interest in prophecy books at his store has been steadily growing the last several years.
"The end of the world is upon us! Read all about it at this book store! All the smart people are!"

It's all about money. These guys are just a little more subtle than most.

I am finally convinced...Billiefan has made his point. I can only conclude that Armageddon is near, and clearly George Bush must be the anti-Christ for pushing it along....
