The Jihad fanatics are being mowed down in hundreds, and they won't be missed.

They will never have to complain of missing iron from their diets ever again.

In what part of the world is this happening? I haven't seen a thing about this... the news is only talking about Iraq.

<NIT>(...)terroists(...)<?NIT>
<PICK>They are soldiers in a country invaded by a foreign army. Regardless of their moral fibre, religious belifs, their commanders previous actions, the phases of the moon, and the price of oil, these people are not terrorists.</PICK>

Unless you're talking about Ansar al-Islam, you're wrong. Saddam's soldiers aren't terrorists. For the most part, they're conscripts.

Despite the fact that I am pro the removal of Saddam, I think we should bear in mind that a lot of these "Terrorists" have little choice, what with Saddams Thugs behind them with guns and our people in front of them with guns.
I take no comfort from the death of your average Iraqi conscript, sorry.

Enemy pretending to be civilians: Terrorist Enemy wearing our uniforms:Terrorist Enemy killing their own population Terrorist Suicide bombers hitting our troops :Terrorist
For a forum devoted to higher learning, and TRUTH, the amount of naivety, and downright stupidity present is amazing.

I am in complete agreement with one of the above statements.

Enemy pretending to be civilians : Possibly in breach of the Geneva convention (but what do I know of that...), but still an enemy soldier.
Enemy wearing allied uniform: Spy, if I'm not mistaken.
Enemy killing own population: Far to common, I'm afraid.
Suicide bombers hitting our troops: A dedicated enemy.
Terrorist: Someone using/threatening with violence against civilian targets in order to force political change.
I'm afraid the US is at war here. Those who fight against US troops are enemy combatants, even if they don't go head straight into US fire, like good renaissance soldiers.
Naivity? No, merely people wishing to keep terms clean.

A blatant breach of Geneva Convention, and NOT an enemy soldier. This is defined as an unlawful combatant. We have a whole camp full of these ******** in Guantanamo.
Suicide bombers hitting our troops: A dedicated enemy.
Hitting our troops in civilian clothes, in a civilian vehicle: Unlawful combatant which = terrorist.

Ugh, I can't stand it anymore. Let me first say that I am for the war (although the diplomatic side leading up to it could of been handled better) and I'm all for taking out Saddam and his nasty regime. Hell, I'm even glad we seem to be really putting it to them in this battle. But please folks, stop with the word "terrorist" already. They are soldiers, they may be unwilling conscripts, they may very well be breaking conventional "rules of war", they may even be commiting heinous war crimes by using civilian shields but that doesn't make them terrorists.
Despite popular opinion every Arab or muslim soldier around the world is not a terrorist. I'm gonna go out on a limb and even say 99.9% of them are not terrorists. While I'm ranting against this thread in particular the real last straw came when they first reported the grenade attack on the 101st. The media (CNN in this case) immediately claimed a terrorist attack has occured on our troops in Kuwait. I just felt like screaming NO, the camp was a military target and the WORST thing you could of called it was a commando or sapper raid.
Well now we know it was one of their own that threw the grenades and openned fire. That now makes it neither a "terrorist" attack nor a commando raid. Just a disturbed individual who, if determined competent to stand trial, should be given said trial and if guilty; run out and shot at our earliest convenience.
