An odd column in today's paper, also found here (http://www.newscoast.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20041122/COLUMNIST33/411220504/-1/OPINION04), which I had not heard of.
Yep. The Air Force Research Lab recently paid a Las Vegas consultant $25,000 to produce a report on "psychic teleportation." According to USA Today, the study was tucked into a $20.5 million contract for advanced rocket and missile designs.
To the surprise and annoyance of quite a few scientists, the consultant concluded it really is possible for people to use their minds to flit from place to place. No doubt about it, he said -- it's "quite real and can be controlled."
It's so real and controllable, in fact, the consultant suggested the military spend $7.5 million to study the idea further.
The author is not named. Anyone know anything about it?
