I have great respect for Tony Blair. I was watching him on Cspan, taking questions from the Hosue of Commons.

First off all I wish Congress worked like that. It was like some crazy press conference where they shot out questions and Tony answered everything thrown at him. Much more fun than the staged stale conferences in the US.

Blair had me thinking "gee I can go along with this guys war stance."

Maybe its my reaction to Bush's style that has turned me off to his war stance.

British politics can get pretty nasty all right!

Unlike the more formalized US Legislature, MPs are allowed to boo, cheer, clap, etc. more or less whenever it suits them.

Is Maggie still kicking? We'd need a VP as well and having the first woman VP would really kick the democrats in the nads.

Actually, booing, cheering and clapping are all specifically prohibited in Parliament. MPs show approval by shouting 'hear, hear'.

I too have great respect for Tony Blair. Sharp as a whip, very well formulated, knowledgeable. How he wound up with Cherie is a mystery to me. Gunshot wedding, maybe?

Can't stand the bloke myself but he does seem to want to be a president:(
