Seems many internet gambling sites are taking bets on how long they believe Saddam will stay in power. (One site already has over a million in bets.)

One site is giving 1 in 3 odds he will be in power at the end of April.

Another is giving 5 to 1 odds that he will be captured by the end of June.

I don't know if he'll ever be "captured". We'll either kill him by bombing him, or he'll kill himself....or, he might live, and go into hiding with his close friends Osama bin Laden, Ayman al-Zawahri, Muhammad Atef, Mullah Mohammed Omar, Saif al Adel....

Close friends? If he ever crossed any of their thresholds he would not last too long methinks. Saddam and his regime is an abomination to Al Queada. Heck, Saddam tolerates practicing Christians within his borders (His Prime Minsiter is Catholic I think). His regime is secular. I think you may be ascribing a connection that does not exist .

Most likely he would go to Syria if he survives, his ties with that regime are strong. He could be there now. He does not come across as the stalwart type.

I was being sarcastic, but I guess that it wasn't clear. Sorry.

I was trying to say two things:
1. Bush wants you to think that they are close friends, so that he has a reason to attack Iraq.
2. I'm glad we're going after Saddam, since we don't have to focus on all of the terrorists that have actually attacked us, but have never caught.

What are the odds he will join the JREF Forum as a troll?

"George Bush is a terrorist! He is despicable! I cheered when the WTC fell!"

Ha Ha! By the way, isn't Idi Amin still alive? Pol pot was allowed to live a nice long life. This has got to change.

I think so. He was given asylum by some country and if I'm not mistaken it was Egypt. I'm very fuzzy on the details but he did survive his regime.
