Ah, the BUFF (Big Ugly Fat F(a very naughty word indeed)).
Great plane, stands with the C-130 Hercules and the UH-1 Huey as maybe the most successful aircraft design ever, based on useful life in it's role.
Are they going to get another B52 for tests? The article doesn't really say, but I doubt we're going to stop dropping things in the future.

Quite a service history! I had no idea that only one aircraft was used for so many test missions.
1955-nearly as old as me...
