Rather ironic that Tom Harkin, one of the primary people behind the deregulation of dietary supplements (1994 DSHEA and 1994 FDC Acts) is now claiming he wants more safety. What a jerk. His very legislation led to the deaths of lots of people (think ephedrine, St. John's Wort, and others,) and now he switches his tune so he can avoid culpability. Just goes to show you what the people at the top of the CAM movement are really like.
