I don't know, somehow the idea of ancient mystical grimoires reduced to Adobe PDF files just loses all mystique.

I'm picturing this: The alchemist/mystic reaches to his shelf and removes a heavy dark volume which he places before him on the table. Next he carefully removes a shining silver talisman from its special pouch. The iridescent disc obviously holds great magical power. He grasps the leaden tome by two corners and opens its dark, featureless cover. At first, the page he opens to is completely black, until the word PORTALS® appears suddenly, but then fades . . .
