British readers of this forum who are jealous of the glowing reports of Richard Dawkins' appearance at TAM3 might like a heads-up on this:

Dawkins is an excellent speaker, I heard him at the Cheltenham Literature Festival a few years ago. His wife Lalla Ward assisted him on that occasion also, by reading extracts from books and articles. I managed not to be too distracted by the fact that Romana was on stage :)

Dawkins has no official website but this (http://www.simonyi.ox.ac.uk/dawkins/WorldOfDawkins-archive/index.shtml) unofficial one is endorsed by him.

It gives some more info on his speaking engagements.

Also, a broadcast of Richard Dawkins on the City Arts & Lectures radio program will take place on February 12, 2005 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am Pacific Standard time. (Noon to 1:00 pm Eastern US time)

If at all possible, go. Dawkins was The Hit at TAM3.

The possibility of someone misinterpreting the title of the thread did occur to me when I created it, but I decided to leave it and give those people a laugh :D

BTW I've just noticed I put the wrong date in my OP. This talk is on Saturday 28th February, not Saturday 28th March. So you haven't got long to get your tickets.

Actually, it is on Saturday, February 26th. Even less time to get your tickets!

He and Lalla are appearing at St Andrews University on March 10th too.
