Do any of you clever chaps know of any software (preferably free), that will record streaming audio/video?
Thanks in advance.

Edit: Mplayer can do it. Download it (with frontend) from here (http://mpf.dzm.hu/). To save the stream you need to add the -dumpstream option (just type that in the "Mplayer extra parameters box). It will work for wmv/realmedia/quicktime. The dumped file will be named "stream.dump" and will be located in the Mplayer root dir, so rename it and move it wherever you want it.

or you could google for windows media recorder 8, or WMR 8.
you can have several open at the same time, set timers to start recording when you're in bed or not home, very neat.

I use SDP (http://sdp.ppona.com/), but I didn't know about Media Player's dumpstream option. Is that just new versions or will it work on 6.2 as well?
