View Full Version : BILLY & THE UFO's

This would be a great name for a band. Maybe. Or perhaps not.
Many of you have heard of Billy Meier and his mega-bucks UFO dreamscapes. Many of you have also heard of Michael Horn, the fellow who sees fit to email nasty messages around to various skeptics groups, advising us all that one day soon, Billy Meier will get the recognition he deserves, and the skeptics will finally be shut up, and shut down.
Here's a link to the latest news story he somehow got someone to write:
http://www.prweb.com/releases/2005/2/prweb203910.htm (http://)
And here's the email message that accompanied it:
===========================================
I just want the skeptics to know that I haven't forgotten my
commitment to make them famouser and even more famouser,
yes sirree!
MH
============================================
Billy Meier must be having a good laugh at how easily he is able to enlist the assistance of nutjobs like Horn, who is, in my humble opinion, quite entirely out of his tiny little mind.
I get so much of these dumb messages from him, well, I just couldn't restrain myself from sharing them with you any longer.
Enjoy.

BTW, PRWeb is a site that allows you to post your own press releases - it's not a news agency or anything. He probably wrote his own (or got a friend to do it), posted it, and then sent you the email. :D

Yay! This guy is great!
From
this site (http://www.steelmarkonline.com/about_billy_meier.htm)
In addition to "Billy" Meier there are more than 70 people who have witnessed the evidence regarding the Pleiadians / Plejarens, their beamships, or Billy himself.
So there's evidence that Billy really exists...who would have thought...

I believe I heard Horn interviewed on "Coast to Coast" several months ago.
He seemed to be very proud of the fact that Meier was allowing him to be his "official representative" in the USA, or something to that effect.

When Horn wrote to tell us that he'd soon make us "famouser and famouser", I wrote this in reply:
Great. We can't wait.
He then replied...
Wait? Why wait? Go to the link below and see how I have generously included you folks in this PR, which has now been appearing all over the world, making you even more famouser than you ever expectorated. Don't thank me, it's my pleasure!
There was no "link below".

...Billy was truthful. The key fact is that it wasn't until March 12, 1979 that it was confirmed that Io was the most volcanically active body in the solar system. Not only did Billy first publish his information on October 18, 1978 but Wendelle Stevens had it all in his hands no later than March 9, 1979.
Even if one could credit Billy with all sorts of abilities to create an
elaborate hoax, providing that information to Wendelle three days
before it was officially announced is a pretty good trick.
More importantly, the author assumes all sorts of things not in
evidence, such as Billy's access to, and understanding of, the
scientific information re the Jupiter discoveries, and/or his access
to a translator (who would have come forward at some point), his
reason for publishing scientific information sure to attract criticism
if it was wrong, which it wasn't, etc.
We have to remember that this was back in the 1970s, no proof that Billy had a subscription to any scientific magazines (which wouldn't have been published and reached him in time, let alone that he was following the story in the newspapers if such details were being published at that time in whatever papers Billy read, if any.
But additionally compelling, even if Billy could have somehow
inexplicably "hoaxed" the information, why would he bother when the SAME contact has ten predictions that all came later true, the death of Indira Ghandi in 1984 being the last one years later? Remember that Stevens found out that he had accidentally been given the predictions from the same contact as the Jupiter information.
I think we might owe Ike a debt of gratitude for showing how actually unlikely, even impossible, it would have been for Billy to accomplish all that. In their efforts to prove Billy wrong the skeptics really just show how far beyond them Billy is, and with only one arm! Of course, if Billy didn't have any arms they'd accuse him of faking everything with his teeth.
And, when you look at this story about news from last week, you have to wonder if the poor skeptics, who always want "more proof", aren't getting ready to go back to doing card tricks at children's birthday parties and leave the serious business to more qualified people.

I can't believe that Randi has spent 90% of his life dealing with people like this. He's a better man that I'll ever be. For sure.

Now, after spending less than a year dealing with the nonsensical claims of one woman ("Kaz"), I'm amazed that after all this time, and all these claimants, Randi is as gentle as he is with them.
Better man than I? He's got the the patience of a freakin' saint.

I have not read every message here, so please forgive me if this subject has already been discussed. Has anyone seen the page where Meier fan Michael Horn (a very nice man, by the way) is claiming that Randi "retracted" his debunking of the Meier case? Say what?
I don't see anything like that at all on Randi's site.

It's on Horn's site under "prophecies." Got a link?
Yes, but I am not able to post it because I haven't made 15 posts here yet. Here in code:

(I hope I don't get banned for doing that!)
I myself will have to retract that Michael Horn is a "very nice man" after reading the vitriol he heaped on Randi. Good grief. I've known him for years, and he's always been quite pleasant. I think he's off his rocker for promoting this case, however, especially since I consider the Talmud of Immanuel - the "scripture" of this case - to be utterly bogus.

But the recent failure of the top professional sceptics' organisation CFI-West, in Los Angeles, to duplicate even one of his "easily duplicated" UFO photos or film segments, followed by the sudden retraction by magician/debunker James Randi that the case is a hoax, has resulted in much deserved, renewed interest in the case.
Randi's retraction?, where?, how?

Go here (http://www.iigwest.com/ufopix.html) to see Meier's photos duplicated. I'm hard pressed to see how these photos can be called a "failure". They look pretty good to me.

You don't think they look bogus? I'd be hard-pressed to understand how only two agencies in the entire world - so far as I know - the "IIG" (I'm not familiar with that group) and Billy Meier have been able to acquire such clear photos. All of a sudden these things are showing up clearly all over the U.S. now? Well, I suppose that's possible. But it does seem suspicious. Those "spaceships" look pretty hokey for the most part.
In any event, I'm mostly curious about the "retraction" business at the moment.

From http://theyfly.com/prophecies/prophecies.htm :
Far in the West, it will be different; the United States of America will be a country of total destruction. The cause for this will be manifold. With her global conflicts which are continuously instigated by her and which will continue far into the future, America is creating enormous hatred against her, worldwide, in many countries. As a result, America will experience enormous catastrophes which will reach proportions barely imaginable to people of Earth. The destruction of the WTC, i.e., the World Trade Center, by terrorists will only be the beginning. (both emphases mine)
Hang on a mo... weren't the terrorists just patsies set up by the globalists to take the fall? I mean, who is right here, the prophetic extraterrestrials, or the Loose Changers? If you can't trust extraterrestrials, whom can you trust?
The point in time at which these prophecies will begin to be fulfilled will be when a Pope will no longer reside in Rome. So, since this hasn't happened, the WTC won't have been destroyed yet by terrorists, I guess.
Before I give you a clear account of the prophecies of Henoch, I would like to point out that prophecies are always changeable and can be changed for the better if man makes positive changes in his thoughts, feelings and actions, leading to that which is better and positively progressive. Prophecies always rest upon specific causes; these again result in certain effects, whereby these effects can be changed at any time if only the preceding causes are changed in their form. Therefore, it is possible that negative or evil prophecies do not have to be fulfilled if the preceding causes will be purposely changed in a manner that positivity and good develop instead of negativity and evil. A C programmer would write this as
#include <std_prophecy_disclaimer.h>
Horatius

So, since this hasn't happened, the WTC won't have been destroyed yet by terrorists, I guess.
What you've forgotten is that quite a few people don't recognize the Pope in Rome as the "True" Pope. You've just got to select the right combination of crackpot theories, and it all works out :D
