I never thought of it this way before- but in this weeks commentary someone said that if Randi could prove to the world that they had supernatural powers, they would pay him a million dollars.

The implication is that endorsement of one's paranormal abilities by Randi would be worth millions to the likes of Sylvia.

On the other hand, actually having the abiblites would be worth so much more in ways so much easier than going through challege, that I myself would not bother with it.

Truthfully, I'd feel a bit sorry for anyone that was publicly certified as having paranormal powers, money notwithstanding. They'd become an instant receipient of deathwishes from every religious zealot on the planet. I can't even imagine how other special interest groups would react.
