Here's mine:

Juggling Video (http://www.petersosna.com/juggle.mpg)

Since I don't want to use all the disk space on my server by filling it with videos, see my latest post for a description of what is up there this week/month.

This video is Airjazz from an old Carson show. I think it's from the mid 80s, but I'm not sure.

I do have a copy of Airjazz doing this routine without the drop somewhere, but the quality isn't as good as this one.

Peter,
I notice you're from Boston and I was just curious if you ever perform at the Comedy Studio in Harvard Square on Tuesday nights?

No, They don't pay enough. :D

I know all of the magicians who work there and there some very good ones; well worth the cover charge.

I'm sure they don't. I think a lot of the magicians that perform there see it as a good way to brush up on their act and get some good practice in front of a live audience before moving to a bigger venue. I perform stand-up comedy there occasionally and it's always a good time.

Right about Now I wish I had never got to know this Magician Peter Sosna. He fixed me my very own board 3 years ago and he was even the administrator and I was one of the MOderators. It made me feel like I was someone.I just hope it isn't over since I had planned something for Peter for his Birthday on my board.Right Now I'm suspended from my own board and don't know if I will ever be back in the place I loved

Yes Geri, but I did tell you not to go posting on TVTalk, but you did, didn't you.

Now if the mods would please remove these unrelated posts we can get back to juggling.

Here is a video of myself (the one with the vest) and my last juggling partner, George. The file is 52 MB, and I can't guarantee it will work. For some reason my video editor, or my video card (not sure which it is) creates videos that require certain codecs.

Hopefully you can view it. I had fun editing it. Notice no drops? That's called good editing. :)

I could view it with no problem, but then I have every codec known to mankind installed on my computer.

Now uploading to the link in my first post: A very old, bad quality, 3rd or more generation copy of Chris Kremo from an old Merv Griffin Show.

Always amazing to watch Kremo. Isn't he the guy who could do release one of the three cigar boxes, do 4 pirouettes and catch the box before it hit the ground?

This week I have something a little different:

This clip is from the same Carson Show that Randi was on doing the psychic surgury demo. Just before he came on, the legendary George Carl did his thing. There is only a little juggling, but the whole clip is well worth the download.

http://thatguywhojuggles.com/ARCATA1.MPG Pretty nice work. I saw quite a few tricks that I haven't done in years (especially passing tricks), and I'd even forgotten that I used to do them. The group I practiced with liked to incorporate unusual throws when passing, but none of us could ever incorporate kicking up into a passing pattern; so those parts were fun to watch.

A word about the music. Nice beat, but I could swear that the words were "Get fifty times," which made no sense at all. At the end of the video, I see that thee lyrics are "Get busy child," which is somewhat less nonsensical.

When I was in circus school, this guy and I used to work on this one trick. We would stand on a narrow bench facing each other. One of us would be juggling three clubs, and the other had two clubs and would be kicking a footbag (hackysack.) The bench added a level of difficulty for the person who was kicking the hackysack. Then, on a certain count we would switch by passing a club across and kicking the hackysack across (if that makes any sense.)

We would have gotten it, if he were a little better at hackysack.

For those interested (and who can receive ESPN2), several segments of the World Juggling Federation contest (hosted by our bud, Penn Jillette), will be broadcast within the next few days. Check your listings for times.

According to my schedule (which has been somewhat inaccurate in the past), ESPN2 will show ball juggling, ring juggling (watch for the guy who juggles five rings with pancake throws--wow!), six-club passing and seven-club passing.
