Oh those fun loving kids.

"The latest missive of the ELF in Sacramento (search) is quite alarming because it hints around at targeting people," said Kelly Stoner, executive director of Stop Eco-Violence! SEV is dedicated to "exposing the true nature of eco-terrorism and building the broad support necessary for public officials and law enforcement to effectively stop it," according to the grassroots group's Web site.

The ELF is a vigilante group. Since 1996, members have torched university research centers, government buildings, a ski resort, SUV dealerships, private homes and apartments.

I wonder if this is the same group that used to be the ALF. In the mid to late 80's, there was the Animal Liberation Front that operated out of Sacramento. At the time I worked as a Post Graduate Researcher at UCDavis. They used to attack UCD from time to time. They once set the Med School on fire and caused $13 million in damages (nice!). There leader was some punk with a two foot blue mohawk.

At the time of the med school attack, they attacked several other buildings. I had a 1970 Datsun pickup that belonged to the university that I used for field work. They spay painted it and set it on fire..........a-holes! I loved that truck!

Anyway, could be the same people!
