GIANT SPACE ROCK HANGING ONLY 223,000 MILES FROM THE EARTH!!!!!

When asked today, a top scientist admitted that there is a giant spherical object a mere 223,000 miles from Earth. Apparently it is known that if that object struck the Earth, our planet would be practically destroyed. (Of course, it must also be noted that if the object were to recede away from Earth, it would result in a very bad TV series starring Martin Landau and Barbara Bain.)

Without even being asked, the top scientist continued on with "facts". He stated that this object is in fact in orbit around the Earth, not on any sort of collision course with it, and that it is often called "the Moon", and sometimes Luna.

I am very skeptical of this big rock thing.

If this rock is really so big, then someone should be able to go up and check it out first hand.

Yeah, it could be a national effort to send people there and return them safely to earth before the end of this decade. They could collect samples, ride around in motorized buggies, take lots of photos, and even practice their golf when things slow down a bit.
