Its more than depressing, its dangerous. Inquisition, anyone??? :( :( :(
"Darwinian theory is the creation myth of our culture. It's the officially sponsored, government financed creation myth that the public is supposed to believe in, and that creates the evolutionary scientists as the priesthood...So we have the priesthood of naturalism, which has great cultural authority, and of course has to protect its mystery that gives it that authority--that's why they're so vicious towards critics."

People like that are just completely unable to think outside their own boxes. That's why they want the world reduced and simplified so much, so it fits within their own pre-existing understanding.
Anything that doesn't fit in the box is a threat.

Don't worry unless it's linked to the Supreme Courts website........
...........(knock on wood).
PS; Did they have a Forum we could all get banned from?

I like the "Raelian Disclaimer" in which the writer expresses astonishment that they could be confused with a group of woos who believe that life on earth was created by some sort of superior being. I used to think that this was too bizarre to be taken seriously.:D

from the FAQ:
Why don't you provide a debate forum on this web site?
In the academic world there is an inordinate emphasis and value placed upon debate. This is really a Marxist-humanist idea: thesis, antithesis, and synthesis. Our purpose is to focus and emphasize that which is truth.
Did Jesus Christ spend a lot of time with debate? No. He instead taught with authority.
so since they are 100% right they don't need a forum where their views could be questioned.

I suspect they would happily acknowledge that what they do is "indocrination." After all, if they are the keepers of the Truth, and so it is their duty to teach "with authority."
Many people feel that the problem is not with indocrination, but with indocrination into the wrong doctrines.

From the article on dinosaurs debunking evolution
...Hitler was a believer in this false religion,...
If it's evil, blame Hitler. He probably had something to do with it.
Didn't Jack Chick claim that Hitler was a Catholic?
Which is it!?

They sell stuff! Who would have thought?
I've emailed them asking how much it costs to attend their three-day tent meeting. If they answer (I kinda think they will), I'll find out if the price includes tunafish sammiches and temperance punch.

How about this tidbit, under "Mutation Program":
In his book, The Blind Watchmaker, Richard Dawkins produced a computer simulation to show that within a relatively small number of 43 generations random mutations can produce a meaningful result. He set as the goal for the program to produce the phrase: “Methinks it is a weasel.” We recreated this simulation, and introduced a number of other factors that Dawkins probably did not consider. First of all, we make an assumption that when a letter (or gene) matches a desired goal, there is something that prevents it from further mutation, even though there is no biochemical evidence or process to back up this assumption. This way we give the process the benefit of the doubt way beyond what the evidence calls for. Second, if we presume that assumption to be true, then once the organism achieved the “goal” it is forever prevented from further evolution. His thesis (and therefore evolution) is refuted both ways, for if we take away this “mutation save” function, our simulation goes on for millions of generations without achieving the goal. Without the source code to Dawkins’ program, we can only run a simulation that gives the benefit of the doubt far beyond what is reasonable, and establish limits within which evolution can occur.
The bolded sentences are what I'm referring to... talk about cooking the data! What a psuedo-scientific perversion...

These swell people also run something called the Amy Foundation; you can get there from the url in the OP.
As is my practice, I emailed them, asking if it's possible to make donations. You say that was disgracefully disingenuous of me? Why thank you!
They shot back a VERY friendly message telling me, Why heck yes you can donate! Thankee kindly, stranger! Here's the address!
Now I'm composing a reply. Would anyone like to help me with this? Do you have any choice phrases? Perhaps links to sites that would do them good? It would be selfish of me to enjoy this little tidbit all by myself.

No, thanks - I think I'll just sit back and watch. I have enough problems without some group of fruitcakes chasing me. ;)
