Let us assume that we exist within some variant of a block universe. What physical structure within that universe might explain our belief that time flows?

I think only the "block head" theorem would explain your belief.

Time doesn't seem to flow to you? Only "block heads" think it does?
Or perhaps you have a sophisticated understanding of the word "belief." Many might believe, falsely, that time flows, but true belief requires a rejection of this false intuition?
Being, presumably, a non block head, perhaps you can explain it to me.

Block Universe?
Is that a view of spacetime that affords equal (ontological) status to all points in spacetime, thus regarding temporality as an illusory human construct with no reference to reality as understood by modern physics?

Are we suppose to believe you thought this up yourself, or just amazed that you have sufficient functionality to Google?

I didn't know what it meant. But now I do. Yes you were supposed to believe that! :D Always unlikely to get away with it though since it was in the very first entry when you enter "block universe"!

Where to start?
- Things move.
- I remember the past but not the future, and I remember more and more past.
Both these things could not happen without time actually flowing.
I don't know much about this "block universe" view but it sure doesn't seem to be able to hold much water at first glance.

i view time as a state of being, rather than something which passes or flows by. or, i move in time, it does not move around me. for example, if i move from position a to position b, i am now at position b at this point in time. but i cannot move back to position a at the earlier point in time because it no longer exists.
i hate space-time!!!

Howzit go? Time is why everything doesn't all happen at once.
