Is the war over if Saddam is dead? By definition, his regime will be ended.

Or do we have to get his sons too? Did they develop WMD too?

What about Tariq Aziz? He had an audience with the Pope just a short while back. Is he a war criminal too? If so, what is his crime? Or would he be allowed to represent the people of Iraq in a future government if elected?

(Just wondering, since a lot of rumors are flying that Saddam may be dead or dying.)

Declare victory, come home.

But if we got him to stop exercising, it would be. ;)

I think changing the regime means eliminating all of Saddam's cohort, especially his sons, thus clearing the way for a new government of some sort. (The Bush folks hope that the populace will turn out joyously to welcome U.S. troops and democracy when the threat of Saddam retaliating is gone.) The soonest shooting could end would probably be when the Iraqis stop resisting U.S. forces. After that, some troops will hang around for many years.
