Dog in a log

A couple were stunned to find the mirror image of their beloved pet dog - embedded in a log.

Dog lovers Joan and Terry Wright, from Manchester, claim the face of their beloved pet labrador Bess is reproduced in a log.

Terry Wright and wife Joan were amazed to see a colour vision of their beloved labrador Bess, who died three years ago, set into the grain of a poplar tree.

God, it's utterly amazing how people see what they want to see. Yeah, I can see something that looks like a dogs image in the log - even the coloring of the grain seems pretty close to the picture.

But mirror-image? Sheesh. :D

That's a better picture. It was in the Daily Mail (could have been the Express) on Tuesday and it didn't look that good then. Still looks a bit lame, but better than the other one!

The dog in the log looks more like a jack russel than a labrador to me.

Well, that settles it for me.

I believe in dog.

It's all part of poplar culture.

I see an image of the dog in the bark.

It's clear that that dog's bark is worse than his bite.

There are some great stories on that site. I love this one:

Devout Baptists accidentally hire porn video (http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_1261715.html?menu=news.quirkies.sexlife)
"A devout baptist couple were shocked when what they thought was a 1957 Doris Day film turned out to be a porn film."

Best quote of the day:
Retired doctor Alan, 67, said: "We knew something was amiss when a warning flashed up on the screen advising under-18s not to carry on watching.

"It was a pretty raunchy, explicit film. It certainly pulled no punches. My wife and I were very shocked, but we watched it until the end because we couldn't believe what we were seeing."

Of course.

And
Morrisons, which owns the Safeway store in Taunton, has promised to investigate.
I bet the manager couldn't get there fast enough.
"Certainly I'll take that nasty video off your hands and investigate it thoroughly. Personally."

The film?
Italian movie Tettore che Passione

In English this means it has the absolutely briliant title:
Breasts of Passion

I love everything about this story.

I've seen this story in two or three topics now and so I feel compelled to point out this couple bought the DVD and could have kept it. Sure, they watched the whole thing. Who wouldn't? But they did return it instead of keeping it.

Sorry to be a wet blanket.

Hey, one watching of Breasts of Passion was enough for me.

Anyway back to the poor couple (who see a completely different breed of dog but assume it is theirs anyway).

Wouldn't it be a bit less fun to walk now:

If that's what their dog looked like, it's probably better off.

It also looks kind of like Flipper. Or Babe.

Folks, please - in your efforts to get to the root of the matter, you've branched out and are all out on a limb. Leaving the main trunk of a discussion is decidiously inappropriate - there is plenty of fertile ground here for further discussion without using sappy puns.

Sticking to the subject shouldn't go against the grain for anyone except the nuts. :D

Well, it's clear that the seed I planted here didn't germinate. I really wish everyone would twig to what I'm saying, because I think we're all headed for a deadfall here. Geeze, talk about your knotty subjects.

(And Lisa, I'm not trying to needle you about pining away or anything. :))

Dammit Ashles, if you are going to post something as funny as that picture couldn't you give some prior warning? I saw it at the office while I was avoiding work and then had to explain to everybody why I was laughing.

If I hadn't been the boss I wouldn't have got away with it.

That's not good enough, Mercutio. You have to dedicate your life to dog. For dog so loved the world that he gave his only begotten pup, to wash away the sins of the cats. And, besides, the end times are nigh, and you should really think about getting yourself Rover Ready. Ready to face dog's judgment in the Final Sniff.

Um. So... first we get the Final Snuff, and then we get the Final Sniff?

Where do the trees come in? Oh, wait, we're talking about Dog. It all makes sense now... dogs and trees have this affinity...

This thread should have been nipped in the bud. I log into it, and it drives me barking mad. Paranormal paronomasia!

I'm not a cynic, but can(ine) anyone justify this thread's popularity. It's like a dog returning to its vomit. I can't see the wood for the trees. I'm dog-tired now. You are all saps.

It is obviously a fox hiding from the last hunts in the UK.
