Isaiah 17: 1 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

now are the two possibly connected or is Isaiah 17:1 a prediction that is about to happen.

explain to me why the Bible says Damascus and not lets say Cairo or Sri Lanka or Rwanda?

Or is it you are so blinded by your own ignorance you dont want to accept anything you cant explain with science that is shown in front of you to actually believe maybe there is more to what is happening that we think there is.

Why the bible don't mention any of the countless cities destroyed by war?

Now, to recapitulate about my ignorance.....
If "Damascus" (only for the name this shouldn't count) isn't destroyed this time, would you stop to believe thaht nonsense?

If it aint destroyed that that means the bible is wrong but if Damascus is nothing more than a crater that means you and every atheist on this board and on planet earth are 100 Percent Wrong.

What I dont get is how anyone with any common sense just say that Isaiah 17:1 and the Syrians behavior is just a coincidence but I shouldnt be surprised.
