Geez, I got a similar dumb email about doctors being pill pushers. It ended in "god bless" as well.

Don't you think it was just one of the thousands of junk e-mails hawking products?

I get them all the time that look pretty slick like they come from some medical provider then you open it and it's a viagra ad. They go to my business e-mail address so I have to assume it is targeted to my address but not necessarily anyone who is sending a personal post and not totally random.

When we didn't have all the spyware blockers on and before switching to firefox browser, I typed in something about Jews on a forum post and within seconds an ad popped up for Jewish singles to meet.

Also, between Google toolbar and XP SP2, I get very very few popups anymore.

Exactly... it did. Not only was it silly spam, it was bad spam. It you look a bit further down the thread you will see what I found with I googled the sender's name.
