Is God a megalomaniac? The following web page really put me off being saved. I'd suggest he get a better marketing campaign.

They are a bit selective in their Bible quotes. I am sure different quotes would establish different criteria for being 'saved'.

Well accorging to these people he does seem a little bit self centered. however i do note that it talks about jesus this and jesus that. It seems to ne that once again poor jesus is being blamed for the prejudices of his followers.

I disagree with the statement that you won't be judged for your actions only on wether you accept jesus as your lord and savior. jesus himself never reall y preached about heaven after death, he was always talking like it was a state here on earth.

Yes, I mean what if I like putting other deities before him? Huh? Huh? Then what?

*rips a Bible in half and sets it aflame*
*pulls out a bag of marshmellows and roasts them*

God isn't the megalomaniac....he isn't telling everyone to "get on your knees and pray to me now!" - everyone just assumes that's the way he thinks and ghostwrites it for him. If I were God, I'd be embarrassed! :D

What if nothing I do is a sin?

Wouldn't it be 'sinful' to lie and make up 'sins'?

Not if you are the one who does it, because nothing you do is a sin.

True, but pointless, none the less.

As for God being a magalomaniac, as with all fictional characters, it's only if you want him to be one.

Now, some believers in various gods are certainly magalomaniacs.

Nothing like exploiting people who expect you only to do good things and tell the kinds of "truth" they like hearing.

Certianly, the integration of religion into politics could only serve to bolster the meglomaniac image of God.

Well considering he's supposed to be all-powerful and knowing, and it still took him seven days to create a world? Puh-lease!

What crickets? I'm sorry the rain of toads from a tornado elsewhere that hit some woodlands ate them all...
