Channel 4. 10pm Sunday night. (UK)

'Faking It' is a programme where they take someone from a completely different lifestyle and teach them a new skill. After a few weeks they have to 'fool' a panel of experts. I think the chap in this one is a teacher - and they are training him to be a magician - looks like they have shot some of it in Vegas.

...should be fun!

The ep is called 'from Physician to Magician', I found a link here:

And I also think that the trainers are Penn and Teller.... this messageboard would be the best place to get official confirmation if they're involved.

The trailer shows a very short excerpt of what looks to be an attempt at psychic surgery too. I'll be watching.

I was a little surprised they didn't spend more time with P&T in Vegas - or at least, they didn't show much on the film... on returning to the UK it almost appeared that the Vegas visit had made little impact on the chap... I THINK P&T must have taught him the trick he did in the final test, but it wasn't clear - I suppose they were protecting their illusion.

But, it obviously changed his life, he gave up his job and became a magician! - It did rahter give the impression that doing magic was a good way for nerdy blokes to chat up women!
