BERLIN (Reuters) - A German circus director is on the run with his elephant after breaking a local authority ban on moving the deeply distressed animal, police say.

"It's easier to hide an elephant than you might think," a police spokesman said.

Is the elephant being hidden by a little boy by the name of 'Bart Simpson' and he named the elephant 'Stampy'?

If so, then I might have an idea on how to find them.

And in other animal news: don't stick your hand in a lion's cage.
(They should have warned her about that.)

MADRID (Reuters) - A lioness in a Spanish animal sanctuary ripped the right arm off a British tourist after the 54-year old woman clambered up a barrier and stuck her fingers inside the cage, local media reported.

That's gotta hurt.

I expect the one-armed woman will be awarded an Honorable Mention in this year's Darwin Awards.

Mighta been News of the Wierd, though, come to think of it.

Surprising how often people are maimed or killed that way though... personally I have a good enough idea of what a lion can do that I wouldn't dream of sticking an arm in the cage.

Q: How do you hide an elephant in a strawberry patch?

A: Paint its toenails red.

Have you ever seen an elephant hiding in a strawberry patch?

See, it works!

The elephant will be easy to find, just follow the trail of peanut shells (if you're U.S. based) or sticky bun crumbs (if you come from the U.K.).

Also check in the fridge for footprints in the butter..

I find this very hard to believe. Are you implying that you know the secret location of Springfield?;)
