View Full Version : (Ed) New homeopathic forum caters for skeptics

Yet another homeopathic discussion board had opened. (http://www.nch.ipbfree.com/index.php). This one differs from many others by having a forum for skeptics. The board is run by Pakistani homeopaths, who in my experience, are somewhat more pragmatic that so many others we have met.

There is not much traffic just now, but let's hope it catches up. If you post there, be nice! The moderator of the skeptic forum is a devil .

It seems as if you have to sign up before you can view anything, which I don't find particularly welcoming.

By the way, I see that Dr. Mas has just signed up here. Any connection?

Are there any bets being taken on how long before Stalin's airbrush is wielded there too?

Rolfe: Dr. MAS has been trying to register here for some time and did imply that his failure was due to him being a homeopath, so I tried to help him along. Apparantly successfully :).

The interesting thing about Dr. MAS is that he appears intelligent and has humor. He is also videly respected in homeopathic circles, especially in Pakistan, where he seems to be a bit of an icon. His opinions have to be interesting.

He agrees with every criticism, even voices them himself, and just says, "and yet it heals!"

Fitness First is another one I'd like to see here.

Why on earth would he think he wasn't being allowed to join up because he's a homoeopath? This board is far more interesting when the homoeoapths come to debate, and we have Barb and Sarah and Xanta (in all her different trollish guises) and Kumar as living proof that such opinions are not censored. I'm glad he's succeeded in getting registered.

As regards the other board, I don't want to join any sooper-sekrit members-only board. If I can read the conversations on a board, I might decide I want to join in, but I don't want to penetrate a wall of secrecy just to have secret conversations.

I have suggested to the administrators that visitors get read access.

Anyway there is little of interest there just yet.

I am an ordinary member and have no influence over there, except they requested me to send few posts in order to generate some traffic. :)

I request to Admin of this forum to allow other pakistani homeopaths. Some 100 members would like to join this forum on my request. I have forwarded the info to them so that we could stop your trolling catching posts. You are forum administrator and for you it is very easy to generate aliases to catch us.

If you are skeptic then come to forum like me... real name, true qualification, phone numbers, postal addresses, passport size pictures and everything is open... can you set an example of like this before participating in discussion. :D

First, I have no interest in joining a forum where I can't see what is being talked about. A closed door is boring.

Second, if there is a requirement for posting real names and qualifications and photographs, positively definitely forget it.

I'm quite prominent in my profession, and there are some extremely weird homoeopaths out there. Dr. Mas may feel safe, but he hasn't had Xanta threatening to camp on his doorstep and feed him homoeopathic pills until he gets very ill (not worried about the very ill part, but the camping on the doorstep sounds tedious). I want to have a conversation and perhaps an argument without inviting any effects on my real or my professional life. So, it doesn't sound as if this new forum is going to get me or many people I know as a taker.

*snip* Dr. MAS: As you found out, ANYBODY can register here, following the rules. Even 100 homepaths are surely welcome. Just follow the rules.

Rolfe: I don't know which forum MAS is talking about, if any ;). The NCH forum does not require any personal info, just a valid e-mail, like all other forums.

A good offer for a coaster? Cause that's the only value that POS CD has.

That explains why Mas won't come over here and talk facts.

According to your interpretation, these means those who did not visit at www.nch.ipbfree.com from this forum are non-sense and afraid. What a stupidity from a skeptic who beleive on evidence. ;(

Cheap shot, and logically fallacious. The discussion is not about JREF members going over to your forum, it is about MAS, who has an account here, not responding to threads he has posted in here.

Troll elsewhere, or learn some critical thinking.
