I doubt he was thinking about you wearing them. He was probably just recalling some time you might have discussed the book/drawing with him. Captain underpants is quite a memorable charactor now, isn't he? Although, as I said, I think the dumb bunnies would have been a better choice. Can't you just see Papa bunny wearing them?

Here's how:
