Kansas state school officials today plan to start a "debate" over the inclusion of ID into state-approved science curricula.
Starting over again from the last fiasco (six years ago?) wherin the state became the laughingstock of education authorities, evidently the more conservative bunch is back in power.
This time, there may not be much of a debate, as the scientific educators are calling a boycott, referring to the "debate" as an attempt to publicize ID notions.
Not to call the thing a wash, one attorney has offered to step into Darrow's shoes (as it were) and promote the scientific end of things.

Never ends.
On a similar note, my own state has fortunately agreed that a similar proposal has little chance even of getting out of comittee this session.
Not to be deterred, however, the sponsorting legislator hopes to try again....
