The defense phase of the Michael Jackson trial is well under way now. I heard that up to about 47 character witnesses could be called to testify in behalf of Michael Jackson. People like Larry King, Elizabeth Taylor, Jackson's ex-lawyer Geragos, Jay Leno, and on and on.
Come on people. Why would the judge allow this? What difference does it make if they say that Michael likes kids, would not harm a child, is a nice guy, is philanthropic, etc., etc.? What does this prove as to whether or not someone engages in kinky or illegal behavior behind a closed bedroom door?
A lot of people say that *I* am this nice guy. But how could they know if I was a psaedo-masochist or even into child porn? They wouldn't have a clue. My 'character' would not necessarily show this secret part of me. I could even be serial killer potential and they wouldn't have a clue. You know, where they interview the neighbors and they say, "Oh?...but he seemed like such a FINE young man. He kept to himself pretty much. Seemed a little odd. But other than that, he seemed harmles. He was even HELPFUL once when I...yadda...yadda"
So anyhow...more ammo against a judicial system that is simply screwy and wastes money and makes lawyers richer.
