I was in Lynmouth in Devon recently where they have a turbine in operation.

It looks from the website that the programme is slipping though

http://www.marineturbines.com/projects.htm I recall somewhere that there were proposals to build offshore installations that combined wind and tidal flow tubines.
It seems obvious that the turbines in The Don's link could be built on the base of wind turbines like these (http://www.natwindpower.co.uk/northhoyle/) with equally obvious savings over separate installations. Anyone know if this is being done?
