The Philosophy of LotusMegami

1. There exists a “some-thing” which is doing the observing.

2. All that is perceived is internal, therefore perception is all that exists.

3. No human consciousness can comprehend the underlying order of the Universe, whether an external Universe exists or not.

4. Therefore, all that is perceived is discord. Existence is ruled by chaos.

5. Yet, we observe that there is order, surviving amidst the maelstrom.

6. Therefore, there must be “some-thing” which causes order amongst the chaos – some-thing outside of human consciousness.

7. That some-thing can only be the Goddess of Extropy.

8. Seated upon a lotus blossom, her right hand making a sign of blessing, and her left hand holding a scroll, the nemesis of Eris creates order beyond the comprehension of human consciousness.

9. Humans who comprehend this should worship the Goddess of Extropy and heed her lessons.

Hail Eris!

The hotdog bun / wiener packaging situation is getting better, but I still run across 10 pack/wieners and 8 pack/buns within the same stores.

Kopji -

Infidel! You worship the discord which you perceive through your senses. The true Goddess lies beyond the material world, supplying growth and harmony to the conscious human mind.

Since it is not in your perception, it must have some separate existence, and this existence can only be the Goddess.

Dragon -

Hot dogs buns should come in packages of the same number as hot dogs. Both are highly desirable foods, since they are processed and made uniform by humans, removing them from their natural, chaotic sources.

i've realized that my religion needs some sins. So, the only unforgivable sin in Extropianism is to state:

C++ and Ada are the same.

To an assembler programmer they are functionally equivalent and effete.

Good enough for ya? Every religion needs a sinner to band together against
