So there I am onstage at the Amazing Meeting with Jamy Ian Swiss, and as part of his card trick he asks me if I believe in Free Will. In the past I would have said "Yes, absolutely!", but after 18 or so months of reading this forum all I could stammer out was "Duh.... I don't know?", causing me to look even more foolish than usual.
Reflecting on my less than elegant response, I realize that I have to thank all of you that have contributed to this forum for making me question all the beliefs I had taken for granted for most of my life. I guess what I said means I have moved up from "Blissfully Ignorant" to "Somewhat Clueless", but at least I'm moving up!
I only wish I had had the presence of mind to say "No, I read the R&P forum, so I know that I don't have Free Will, but I act as if I do!". :D Anyway, thanks again everybody.

Ummmm this is really sad. Clearly you have not read any of my arguments, or if you have you have failed to understand them. I find it quite stunning that essentially very bad arguments can persuade you of the non-existence of that which is manifestly evident. :(

Hey! How's life as a robot?

Heh.

But you don't have free will in the sense that who you are is basically from every other past event...
