Good afternoon.
I'm not sure which is worse. The whole Katie Holmes converting to Scientology, or the links that CNN has on this artcle.

I'm very curious as to whether any of Tom Cruises significant others thought that the Scientology bit was a bit ..... odd.

He was apparently introduced to scientology by his first(?) wife, Mimi Rogers.
Supposedly the reason for the split w/Kidman is she didn't buy in.
A funny line from Richard Roeper: The Tom Cruise-Katie Holmes "We're More In Love Than Mere Mortals Could Possibly Fathom" Tour of 2005 continues this week...article (http://www.suntimes.com/output/roeper/cst-nws-roep07.html)

I thought that CNN had a poll asking:
"Would you change your religion to date Tom Cruise?"
was a sign of something about our culture. I just don't know what exactly.

Is scientology any more kooky than any other religion.

Has Tom known the woman for any longer than, what, 23 minutes?
Tom Cruise, now starring in I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change (http://www.loveperfectchange.com/).

I disagree. The core beliefs of Scientology are so bizzare that they only could have come from the mind of a science-fiction writer.
Oh, wait.....

Correction: The core beliefs of Scientology are so bizarre that they only could have come from the mind of a bad science-fiction writer.

You forgot to link to www.xenutv.com. The picketing videos where anti-Scientology protestors are harassed by "handlers" from the Church are especially weird and possess a kind of morbid humor.

It's quite a sacrifice, but I offer to let Katie Holmes embrace me rather than scientology.
