HA HAAA HO HOOO HEEE [wiping tears from face]
They were so frigging wrong about everything they said, now they want to go back and change the debate. Ha Ha Ha! This is so rich.
- Thousands of innocent Iraqis will die in the war:
WRONG
- Urban fighting in Baghdad would yield thousands of Americans in body bags:
WRONG
- The war will only increase terroism:
WRONG
- There are no weapons of mass destruction:
WRONG
- The Iraqi people don't want us there
WRONG
- Its another Vietnam
WRONG
- We're in a quagmire
WRONG
- France is our friend:
WRONG
- The U.N. is relevant:
WRONG
- The war is only about oil:
WRONG
- America are Imperialist Satan Devil Dogs
WRONG
- Let him Annex Poland and he will be happy...doh, wrong dictator.
I could go on and on, but I tuned out most of the stupid crap I heard the antis screaming about. Now they want to pretend it was never said.

BWAA HAA Ha SNORT HEE HEEEE! [slobber drool]
I just read it again. This guy is such a sore loser his ass is hurting. I can hear the inflection of a monotonous whine coming through as I read the article.

Sometimes I feel sorry for the Iraqi's trying to fight back given the causuality statistics. It must be a big blow to the ego of the pro-saddam groups that we have so few casualities.

Just a few things that made me wonder:
- The war will only increase terroism:
WRONG
How do you know, at this moment, that it won't?
- There are no weapons of mass destruction:
WRONG
As far as I know, we're still just looking for them?
- The Iraqi people don't want us there
WRONG
This seems a bit strange, since you're writing on another thread that their ... hatred is so fierce, and their brainwashing so complete, that they would prefer to live in despotism, and kill themselves (marytrdom) than side with any nation that is a friend of Israel.
Hmm?

Thanks for the link, Marquis de Carabas. As I've come to expect from Michael Kinsley, a thoughtful and reasoned essay.

I don't agree with everything the man said. But now that the war is entering its last days (apparently) it's time for both sides to drop the silly rhetoric and get down to the business of making sure these questions get answered. Right or wrong, it's done. Now we have to deal with the reprecussions.

I would have liked Dubya get a story and stick to it, rather than the "and there's also this reason" effect he was producing. What were the actual reasons that convinced him to go to war, not the also rans.
I would also like that if you are going to fight a war, to have a firm idea of what you hope to achieve by it and what you intend to do after it. These matters are still being decided.
