A MAN accused of deliberately crashing a stolen tip truck into a car near Ballarat, killing its 66-year-old driver, has stood by his claims that an "alien life force" had taken over Earth at the time of the collision.
Roderick Nigel Martin last week told a Supreme Court jury he believed aliens had taken over the planet and were chasing him down the Western Hwy on July 19, 2003.
He yesterday upheld his belief, rejecting claims by Crown prosecutor Tom Gyorffy that he was upset about medical treatment he had received in Melbourne and had fabricated the "aliens" story.
"I suggest to you that this talk about aliens was just being made up by you," Mr Gyorffy put to the accused.
Would anyone like like to comment on nuts like this who take their nutty beliefs a little too far.
