But what our scientist does not realize is that every time he makes a measurement, the Flying Spaghetti Monster is there changing the results with His Noodly Appendage.

I read this this morning, from a link on BBSpot.

Bloody brilliant.

You may be laughing now but you won't be laughing when you die and meet the Invisible Pink Unicorn and she tears your flesh apart with her perfect invisible pink hooves.

p.s. The IPU loves you very much.

An absolutely brilliant web page. It's got excellent uses of the IDists rhetorical strategies:

The appeal to idiot fairness:
"I think we can all agree that it is important for students to hear multiple viewpoints so they can choose for themselves the theory that makes the most sense to them."

The use of magic as a mechanism:
"We have numerous texts that describe in detail how this can be possible and the reasons why He does this. He is of course invisible and can pass through normal matter with ease."

The insistence that it is a theory! It is! It is! It is!
"I’m sure you now realize how important it is that your students are taught this alternate theory."

And of course, science is all about being respectful to beliefs:
"Furthermore, it is disrespectful to teach our beliefs without wearing His chosen outfit, which of course is full pirate regalia. I cannot stress the importance of this, and unfortunately cannot describe in detail why this must be done as I fear this letter is already becoming too long."

Unfortunately, Henderson gives away too much at the end when he provides a picture of the Flying Spaghetti Monster creating stuff. In providing this level of detail, FSMism is actually better than ID!

Has anyone sent the Kansas State Department of Education an email on this? I'd love to hear their reaction to this groundbreaking alternative theory. Maybe they could spend another few thousand dollars on flying some FSM experts in for another trial.

all he needs is a demski to do a fake statistical study making use of a lot of technical terminology proving his point and he is good to go.
