Okay, long story short, I used to have a password to access my computer. I had to reload my software, and the setup automatically moved my files into a folder labeled "My Old Data"
Problem is, if I try to access my old files, it tells me that Access is Denied.
Anyone have any suggestions? HELP!

I had that problem in Windows NT, I dont remember the exact procedure but with admin rights you can reclaim ownership of bugged files.

You must be logged in under an account with administrative rights.
Right-Click on the folder and select properties.
Select the security tab.
Click the advanced button.
Select the Owner Tab
Change the owner to yourself and click Ok.
Back on the security Tab highlight your name in the tob list and select Allow for Full Control in the bottom list. make sure nothing is selected in the Deny column.
That should do it.

Brilliant. Thank you DVFinn. I didn't have an administrator account set at first, so I went into safe mode and chose admin. Worked like a charm. Thanks so much.

Glad you got it sorted!
Friend of mine a while back got a new computer with a login password, which he promptly forgot. All he could remember was that the guy who set it up for him wrote it down for him, and it was a German word.
We spent ages trying to prompt him to remember, thinking it was probably a fairly simple or obvious German word like gutentag or danke or kennwort.
Finally he found the piece of paper with the 'German' word "letmein" written on it :D
