I'm trying to use Outlook Express 6 to combine a multipart message - a jpg file. I followed the instructions in the help files to select the messages and click message-combine and decode, and it put a window up full of gibberish as the combined message.

I assume this is the source code.. how do I turn that into the picture?

It's probably encoded. Does it have a 'yenc' header?

Yeah, Outlook Express doesn't know about yenc.

another possibility: The parts have to be in the right order. After you select them and pick "Combine and Decode" but before they're actually combined and decoded, you can reorder them. Make sure the order is right.

No, but it can be helped with extensions like yproxy or fidolook (http://www.fidolook.org/)
