eg my ESPN icon is a big red "E" vs the IE globe, which is what I want all of them to be. The unique ones make my favorites look too "busy" and frankly it's just plain annoying. Anyone?

If you delete all of your Temporary Internet Files (including 'all offline content') then the icons will be reset to the default. they don't seem to come back with browsing (unless you recreate the favorite.

However, any new favorites will have their associated icon (until you repeat the above).

If you want to just clear out the icons and not the rest of your Temporary Internet Files, browse to your TIF folder (press 'Settings...' on the General tab of the Internet Options dialogue, then press 'View Files...') and delete all files called 'favicon.ico'

Great, thx.

Although oddly, they sometimes oddly seem to disappear with time.....? This has happened before and pretty sure I didn't do a dlt temp files/etc to cause it.
