I found this on a thread at Zen forums entitled What is Taoism? (http://www.zen-forum.com/ForumE/showthread.php3?threadid=927) Posted by someone called "Nirvanic_Man"
The gods in heaven acted like and were treated like the officials in the world of men; worshipping the gods was a kind of rehearsal of attitudes toward secular authorities.
So are theists learning to treat Mr Bush as an all-powerful, all-knowing, omni-benevolent being?
:D

Doesn't the quote say that the gods were treated like officials and not the other way around?
And I'm not sure if the Chinese gods are anything like the Xtian one.

Well, Bangdazap,
It says both.
The worship of gods is a rehearsal. So those that worship the God of Abraham, at least, are practising how to treat Bush, Blair and the rest as all...., all... and all.....

That's called the Divine Hierarchy. It is the pyramid/worldtree (or light cone) of all consciousness.
You ever see that pyramid on the back of the U.S. $1 bill? The Eye at the Top is God (symbolized by the omniscient (all-seeing) eye of logical perception) everyone else occupies a position in the pyramid below God. Every conscious entity occupies its place in the divine hierarchy.

No, but he's possibly a member of the Illuminati, which is pretty close.

Don't make me go TIPS on your ass. We don't need any enemies of the state here. So, all together now, "all hail Bush."

Bush is definitely not Illuminata. Freemason, maybe, but not Illuminata.
