Even more shocking is this revelation from his "significant other", Dr Robin Falkov:

I'm a Homepathic and Chinese Medical Physician, and nutritional therapies counselor.

I’m not shocked at all.

This from the Coast to Coast bio..
“Dr. Robin Falkov is licensed acupuncture physician with extensive training in traditional Chinese herbal medicine. --
She currently resides in New Mexico and consults with patients by telephone and the Internet.”

She doesn’t consult in acupuncture over the phone I hope!

I’ve always had a special place in my hard little heart for Mr. Hoagland. He’s a very entertaining writer but his speculations are just right out of the park. And he couches them as factual! That just drives me to distraction.

I must give him credit though, when all that ho-rah took place about the FOX moon landing hoax program, I believe Mr. Hoagland did come forward and publicly state he believed men did actually walk on the moon.

Is that really the highest recommendation for someone?

Surely that's like giving Victor Zammit credit for at least accepting that dropped objects fall due to gravity.

OK, OK! He writes a pretty good shtick. He’s entertaining! How’s that?

Small white italic type on a black background. What an idiot.

Ah. Perhaps I should retract my surprise. I didn't know anything about him so I was making assumptions based on his NASA background. Now that I come to read up on what he actually believes, it's not very shocking at all.

What an odd fellow.

He is funny I agree. Like a clown.
If clowns were actually funny and not scary like they are in real life.

To be exact: Hoagland did more than say that he beleives that men walked on the Moon. He actively attacked and criticized Moon hoaxer arguements. His own mythology depended on men being on the Moon and being chased off.

So its a bit more than that piece of meat being so rotten that the dogs won't even eat it.

Ah yes, his background. This may further enlighten you (http://www.badastronomy.com/bad/misc/hoagland/credentials.html).

Ding-ding-ding! We have a winner!

I was wondering if anyone else would make the connection. This fellow’s been blathering about giant class cities on the moon and of course the old mars-face. Now he’s decided information from the Deep Impact probe is being covered up. I can’t wait until he starts applying unsharp mask filters to hideously blown up photos of Tempel 1 and “discovers” it's some kind of artifact.

I guess my only problem with Hoagland (other than he seems to systematically distort the truth.) is that, to astronomy, he’s become what Jacque Cousteau has become to marine science. This is not to say he’s a complete fraud but, he does mislead people into believing that he’s some authority on the space program and astronomy. Cousteau did manage to get young people interested in marine science through showmanship. Hoagland is getting more people to belive vast conspiracies in science, not a positive thing methinks.

I’m really astounded at how little this guy seems to know. I kind of like his books, except for the little voice saying “the author thinks this is non fiction.”

BTW sir, Thank you for your page and all the hard work you do. I’m sure you get a little flack now and again. It goes with the territory. I’d say that Hoagland’s statement to the affect of “if they don’t fuss than you’re not getting to them" is correct.

Incidentally, I make the point that his Moon Hoax debunking is actually quite good near the bottom of this page (http://www.badastronomy.com/bad/misc/hoagland/).

Yes I’ve seen that and your write-up as well. I often wonder why people with the opportunities that Hoagland had chose to cash in and join the crackpot brigade. I also wonder if he really believes what he writes or is it some cynical ploy to sell book. If so he’s much smarter than I think. Not more ethical mind you.
