My little USB falsh memory keychain stick fell apart today, for the last time. The guts seem OK, but I have glued the casing back together about 4 times and I'm a little sick of doing it. This thing wasn't even a 1.5 years old and it just fell to pieces.

So... anyone know of a keychain memory stick that is durable enough to actually be on a keychain?

I have a Lexar.....haven't had for all that long, but it came with a little keychain thing and I have kept in my pocket numerous times, seems quite sturdy to me. FWIW

SanDisk claims that the device is "Extremely Rugged - Crush-resistant to 2,000 lbs." I am going to have to just agree with them on the 2,000 pounds, as it is snowing out and I don't want to put the drive in the snow and run over it with my car. Although, I did stand on it and found out it was defiantly crush resistant to 190lbs.

this one looks pretty solid, too, and is waterproof -- fun!

I have one made by Memorex. One day I opened the dryer and found it sitting on top of my clothes! Apparently it had gone through the washer and dryer! I picked it up and it was still very hot to the touch, but when I inserted it into my computer it still worked.

I can recommend one of these types (http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=114221&partner=register). Not a memory stick per se, and they are bigger, but you get an MP3-player as well. And it plugs into any USB port.

Incidentally, they can be washed at 30 C. ;)
