Why not name the road 999? they wouln't have to re-print signs or maps. :p

Perhaps "7734" would be better; use a font with an open 'four'.

The cost of replacing stolen route markers would probably be too high. Every college student in the state would want one. :D

OK, I'm neither smart nor a numerologist. What's the significance of 7734? Or 1337?
Dear Mr. Soapy,
Type 7734 into a calculator and turn the calculator up-side down. Also, 35001, and 55318008 are some good choices.
