MSNBC just cut away from war coverage (alleged cache of new french made missiles found in Baghdad) to report that a woman's body and a fetus washed ashore in Richmond, CA. Wild speculation that it is Lacey Peterson, missing for several months and the subject of Chandra Levyesque constant media blather.

I wish I could borrow Howard Kurtz's crystal ball. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A62801-2003Apr9.html I so want to know if JLo and Ben Affleck will make it! I am glued to MSNBC for more details.

Sigh... remember after 9/11 networks swore they would stop focusing on frivolous news and be serious news channels. How long did that last?

Disclaimer- yes, it is a sad story, that somebody killed a pregnant woman. Very, very sad for her family. Very, very irrelevant on a national scale.

What's really sad is that some murders are deemed relevant and others aren't. There have probably been quite a few poor and 'unimportant' women murdered during this same time period.

It seems that to the media there are some 'big' murders but sadly many 'little' murders.
