Excellent work.
A mention in Heat is actually pretty big news. It's circulation is just ridiculously huge, and is often browsed by the whole family (and we all know in which room).
Plus I would imagine that Heat might be read by many who sort of dabble a bit in psychic belief - your site may inform some fencesitters.
Do you track the number of hits you get? And are you monitoring it at the moment? Would be interesting to see if the traffic goes up significantly.

I didnt know that Heat mag was so popular.
I will see tomorrow if my hits went up at all.
Problem is my hits are quite eratic anyway so may be hard to tell if the change isnt great.

...snip..
Despite the onslaught of cut-price competition and inferior imitations by rivals, heat is still in terrific shape selling 540,556 every week. heat continues to be Emap's biggest consumer magazine in the UK, worth over £40m in newsstand revenues alone. The successful combination of CLOSER and heat makes Emap the market-leading celebrity magazine publisher for the first time, with combined sales in excess of 1 million every week.
...snip...
That's not a bad magazine to get a mention in, well actually it’s a terrible magazine to get a mention in but it means a lot of people will read it. :)
What's the mention about? "Mary loves Dick" and Derek's £20 winnings? :)

Back to the thread - now I have a legitimate reason to buy Heat this week. And if it just happens to have an article on Saskia's fashion tips and Sophie Dahl's amazing new diet secrets, well that's just a bonus isn't it.

I've read the article.
(There was a complicated series of events that involved a surprising gust of wind, a five pound note, a group of German tourists, a bicycle and 3 puppies... there's no need to go into it all, sufficeth to say I somehow ended up with a copy of Heat magazine).
It's interesting - it's like the interviewer was really goading Drk and Yvette, and they didn't deny it perticularly forcefully, or have a go at the website, merely stated it wasn't faked and that was about it. I was expecting them to be slightly more irritated somehow.
What probably helped was that evidently Derek and Yvette reallly don't like each other and don't actually talk. Which made for a rather bizarre interview.
I don't know why but I also got the vague impression that the interviewer was rather sceptical themselves.
It's a short article but worth a read for amusement value.
And it has TV listings if you need another excuse to buy it.
As for me I would never normally buy it, but there were these puppies in the road and I had to swerve to avoid them on my bicycle...

Didnt think this was worth a new thread so hope im not railroading off topic.
A small piece in Daily Mirror(UK tabloid) today, foot of page 18 if anyone has a copy:
Tricks of psychics
Clairvoyants rely more on everyday techniques than any supernaturalpowers to make these predictions.
These include "cold" and "hot" reading and noting body language.
Their job is made easier because clients are willing to be convinced of their fortune telling talents and only recall the accurate statements, says a report in New Scientist magazine.
Psychics "cold" read clients by making general statements on health, family,or work.
While searching websites like friends reunited or even rifling through belongings are forms of hot reading
Not bad for a daily.Double page spread would be nice next time.
The article is online but to read it fully you need to pay!! :(

I guess she must have gone off him after he made that lunge for her breasts on live television.

Ah yes, dreadful when that happens :D

There are moments like this, when I realise I have no idea who , or what everyone is on about, when I really feel quite old and uncool.
But at least I could have internet access in the loo.
Or at any rate, I could put the monitor on the floor in the hall and use the wireless keyboard I got for Christmas and haven't unboxed yet.
Or I could put a bucket in the spare bedroom.
